As part of its sustainability plan, the PlantwisePlus Knowledge Bank (PWKB) has introduced an access update for Technical Factsheets. Please note the following key points:
- Restricted access: Technical Factsheets are now only accessible from certain countries. The list of countries with access has been decided based on several factors, including World Bank country classification and is the same list used by CABI Academy - https://academy.cabi.org/mod/page/view.php?id=12664
- Unchanged for PlantwisePlus countries: Users in PlantwisePlus countries will continue to have free access as usual.
- Alternative access for Global North users: Users in a country without free access will be redirected to the source content, the Compendium Datasheets, where access is available via institutional subscriptions or individual purchase.
- Still searchable: Technical Factsheets will remain discoverable in search results for all users, regardless of location.
- Automatic access from CABI offices: Anyone accessing the PWKB from a CABI office network will continue to have full access, regardless of geographical location.
